Greetings!
WORKSHOP2012
A BIG Thank you to all who attended the captioned event at the Police Training School last Saturday. Excellent turn out and a very informative day was had by all. Information from the weekend’s Workshop will be made available to all members later in the week and also on our new website.
Additional information out to you very shortly this week.
KIT NEEDS
This message is from the President, Warren Needham … … …
For this Seasons Kit Alex Blois-Brooke will be looking after and distributing it. We are pleased to say that Playmore will remain our sponsor for the kit. The design and the colours of the kit will not change this year and we are just topping people up rather than issuing a whole new kit. If you are missing, lost, or need new bits of kit we would request that you drop him a line through the kit page in the members area! or the kit email @hkrugbyrefs.com
There is an expectation that all members will travel to training, games and overseas appoints in Playmore kit. Furthermore they should be wearing full kit during their games if none is supplied by the organizers. The sponsor puts a lot of cash into giving us heaps of free kit so the very least we can do is wear it.
Alex will then arrange to drop off the kit to people in need at either a Wednesday Training session or a General Meeting. Please note as all kit is in storage at Kennedy Town, Alex will need to be informed by 11am on the Thursday prior to the drop off at the next training or general meeting.
A new form will be sent out this week, allowing you to select clothing that you are either are short of, or never received.

BALI MEMORIAL (10th ANNIVERSARY) EVENT – HKFC
This year is the 10th Anniversary of the Bali Bombing and Nick Axiotes has asked if this information from the HKFC, can go out to members who might have an interest in this event that the CLUB is holding on September 12th.
Gents,
Just to follow up on the conversations I have had with you on this – we will have a cocktail reception after the wreath laying ceremony on Friday 12th October in the Sportsman’s Bar, HKFC.
This event is open to anyone who would like to attend –we won’t be promoting the event through the normal social channels, to keep it a little more exclusive to the people for whom it will have some meaning. Alex will send an email to the ‘friends of the Rugby Section’, but in case there is anyone who is not likely to be on this list (Polly for example) – please can you let them know about the event and perhaps forward their details to Alex in case they would like to kept in touch with future Club events.
The plan is to keep the event informal, starting at 1900 with Bill Burgess saying a few words and making the toast.
Let me know if you have any suggestions etc.
If you are interested in attending, please contact the Secretary, Ricky Short
David Nazer
