Greetings!
iRB LAWS
The expected confirmation of new changes to the Laws of the Game, has arrived this morning from the iRB. All of the information concerning the changes can be found at the following address:-
http://www.irblaws.com/2012/index.php?language=en
As of this evening, none of the video clips were down-loading from the iRB website - so some patience is required. However, the written explanations are easy to understand. The HKRFU will implement the new changes from the 1st September. Clubs will be asked if they require assistance from the society in implementing the changes. Additional information will be available to all members at our Camp.
EVENTS
Great to see our referees involved in finals of the ARFU U20 7s on the weekend in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Liu Hao was appointed to referee the Cup Final between Malaysia and Hong Kong with the Hosts winning in the final few seconds. Gabby Lee refereed the Plate Final between Singapore and Japan, with the latter having a fight for some time, before pulling away for the silverware. Macro Wu also refereed one of the finals to make it a successful weekend for Hong Kong referees on tour.
Patrick Kwok has this evening, just finished refereeing his first (adult) international between host Cambodia and Brunei in the ARFU A5N Div5 tournament. No news as yet to how it ended; more to follow!
Congratulations to all of the above for a job, well done.
New member, Matt Gollins from Zhuhai, refereed the final of the Macau 10's last Saturday with support from John Findlay, Russ Harding and Steph Lehner.
Apparently all went well, with the dinner after the tournament being one of the major highlights of the day! What goes on tour _ _ _!
