In what must be the pinnacle of every match officials career, Gabby was selected after a sterling performance in a number of tournaments leading up to the Hong Kong sevens earlier this month. Her performance has been recognised and well commented upon on by many coaches, selectors and fellow referees, including Asian rugby and world rugby selectors.
Gabby said "I am obviously very excited and honoured to be selected. It just like the first day I start refereeing. I am glad that as a Hong Kong local to represent HK to attend the Olympic."
Tobi Lothian, president HKSRFUR said "Gabby was the first Asian female to referee the first woman's 7s rugby World Cup final and now she is breaking further ground with being one of only two Asian match officials to to be represented at the Olympics for rugby. We are all very proud and happy for her.
